We are pleased to invite you to the 18th European Colorectal Congress taking place in St. Gallen from
30th November – 4th December 2024.

This years main topics will focus on:


International experts and opinion leaders will share and discuss the latest knowledge in the fields of colorectal surgery. More than 50 scientific lectures from the best international speakers will cover most of the hot topics in colorectal surgery. Expect the best in professional education and practical knowledge for every clinical need.

Poster Award 2024: All accepted posters will be published in European Surgery again and presented during the Postersession@ECC 2024. Win your ECC Poster price and apply for the Springer award.
Deadline for poster registration will be September 15th 2024!

New ECC Education Village: Saturday 30th November – Tuesday 3rd December
In 2024 we offer a new ECC Education Village with the well-known Masterclass and Proctology Day as interactive sessions and Hands-on-courses with Robotics and Advanced colorectal laparoscopy (DavosCourse@ECC). Furthermore we will offer Team Trainings and Special Education Sessions.

Main Congress ECC 2024: Monday 2nd – Wednesday 4th December

The main congress will focus on lectures from the topshots in colorectal surgery on colon cancer, rectal cancer and anal cancer. We also offer new formats as pros & cons, discussion rounds & meet the experts! Furthermore we include Honorary lectures from world famous colorectal surgeons.

Highlight as always we have included the Live Surgery session on Wednesday, 4 December. Colorectal surgeries will be broadcast directly from the operating theatre of the Kantonsspital St.Gallen. Additional video talks will be included. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the procedures and discuss with the surgeons.

Following the success of last year’s event, we will again offer a hybrid platform that seamlessly brings together onsite and online attendees, allowing for even more interaction between participants.


The European Colorectal Congress was always meant to bring together experts and participants from all over the world for high level exchange of knowledge and transfer of new techniques and results.
