Eva Angenete is professor of Surgery at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her clinical work is focused on rectal cancer, locally recurrent rectal cancer and anal cancer. Her research includes colorectal cancer and anal cancer with a focus on surgical treatment, quality of life and health economy. She works in a research group SSORG - The Scandinavian Surgical Outcomes Research Group and has been a part of the group since the beginning in 2009. The goal is to reach expedient accrual in clinical studies, and thus have better control of confounders. Through well established routines an external validity is ascertained.

Jim Khan is a specialist colorectal & minimal access surgeon, currently appointed as a consultant surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and Hon Associate Professor at Anglia Ruskin University. His training included senior registrar at Basingstoke with Prof Heald, the National Laparoscopic Fellowship at Colchester (UK) with Prof Motson and a travelling clinical fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester (US). He also travelled to Korea for training in Robotic colorectal surgery with Prof Kim. At Portsmouth he is actively involved in medical education and clinical training on a variety of basic and advanced laparoscopic and robotic skills courses.
Mr Khan has been a national trainer in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and European proctor and trainer in robotic colorectal surgery. His research interests include Clinical research in robotic colorectal cancer surgery, complete mesocolic excision for colon cancer, Quality of life and functional outcomes after low anterior resection, training in laparoscopic & robotic colorectal surgery and natural orifice specimen extraction (NOSES). He has published and presented widely at national and international meetings and is member of core working groups in robotic surgery at the RCS, ACPGBI, ALSGBI, ESCP and ASCRS

Bruno Roche is 67 years old. He was head of proctoperineal unit in Geneva University hospital from 2001 to 2018. Actually, he works in private practice and is still consultant at the university. He made his medical studies in Lyon became specialist in surgery in 1986. From 1988, he was in Geneva University and developed a great interest in procto perineology. He is teaching in Switzerland, and many other European countries as well as in Dubaï.
Invited speaker in almost 600 international conferences, he published more than 150 research papers and book chapters on proctologic and perineal diseases. He is author of DVD with 24 personal surgical techniques. His last studies are focused on levator ani diseases.
Ex rugby player he considers adversity as a good power to improve. He likes life, humor and poesy.
